In our Outpatient Clinic for returning travelers we offer specialized services for the diagnosis and treatment of tropical diseases, with regard to parasitic, bacterial and viral infections. The most common health problems after traveling include diarrhea, fever and skin affections. We also perform the required medical examination according to regulation 35 (G35, stay abroad under particular conditions) and the respective post-travel medical examination.

Please plan for longer waiting times. Please sign in for acute consultations at the patient terminal (video system) situated IN FRONT of the institute (please note the signs). Out of opening hours, the emergency room is available for emergencies (e.g. fever after a stay in a malaria area).

5. Rabies consultation
Immediate presentation is recommended after any animal contact suspected of being infected with rabies. You do not need an appointment. The opening hours of our outpatient clinic for this purpose are Monday - Friday from 08.00 - 13.00. Outside these hours, consultation and care are also provided through the Charité emergency rooms.
