Geburtshilfliche Versorgung in Sierra Leone

Sie befinden sich hier:

During the Ebola crisis in 2014/2015, the health facilities were greatly overburdened due to a lack of capacity and resources. The main target group benefitting from this project are pregnant and laboring women in the catchment area of Princess Christian Maternity Hospital in Freetown. Apart from upgrading of the local infrastructure within the partner institution in Sierra Leone to assure adequate obstetric care and improved infection control and prevention, operational research will be targeting an increase of facility-based safe deliveries in Sierra Leone through mHealth approaches (assessing risk factors for delivery through SMS contact or through a Safe Delivery App). Project activities are development of the intervention, implementation and follow-up of the intervention, evaluation, development of respective recommendations for health policy and practice.
