Surveillance importierter Infektionen
Reisende und Migrant:innen sind einem erhöhten Risiko für in Deutschland seltene Infektionen ausgesetzt. Durch die Surveillance (Erfassung) importierter Infektionen können geographische und z.B. mit Reisestil zusammenhängende Risikofaktoren identifiziert werden.

Je größer die Zahl der erfassten Reiserückkehrer:innen ist, desto besser gelingen Risikoerkennung und die geographische Feinauflösung. Daher wird die Surveillance im Rahmen von Netzwerken durchgeführt. Hinsichtlich allgemeiner Risiken importierter Infektionen sind wir ein Surveillance-Standort des internationalen GeoSentinel Surveillance Netzwerks mit 60 Standorten weltweit sowie des europäischen Ablegers EuroTravNet. Spezifischere Fragen zum Import von Staphylokokken-Infektionen werden im europäischen StaphTrav Netzwerk bearbeitet.
